Commodore Perry Mansion and Estate
The Commodore Perry Mansion and Estate is located in Austin, Texas, just miles away from the heart of Downtown. Edgar Howard Perry and his wife, Lutie built the Estate in 1928. Due to its unique European-influenced design throughout the almost 11,000 SF Mansion, it became perfect location for entertaining large groups of guests. After two centuries of grand parties, Perry sold the Mansion. In 2001, the Texas Historical Commision listed The Commodore Perry Mansion and Estate on the National Register of Historic Places.
By 2020, a six-year renovation and addition to the estate was complete. A team of award-winning design firms came together to preserve and upgrade the Estate while still maintaining its original design. Added to the property were a new 3-story, 47 room luxury boutique inn and freestanding restaurant. Each addition was carefully designed to mesh with the existing historic structures and feel of the 10-acre property.
Today, the Commodore Perry Mansion and Estate fulfills its original intention: a place for friends and families to gather and celebrate. Mostly used as a venue for wedding and engagements, the Estate still remains one of Austin’s treasures.
